Sara Timmons

Sara's passion for photography began over forty years ago when her parents gave her her first camera, a Kodak Brownie. She was born and raised in the small easternshore community of Selbyville, Deleware. After highschool, Sara left her home town to continue her education at the University of Deleware. After two years she continued her education in Washington D.C.. There she studied Interior Decorating at the International Institute of Interior Design. After a couple of years she returned home to marry her high school sweetheart and start a family. Blessed with two beautiful children she spent the next 10 years focused on raising her babies in the picturesque community, her ancestors founded. Once her children no longer required her undivided attention, Sara returned to her passion of photography. Armed with her first 35mm camera, given to her by her parents, she bagan taking classes in Photography and persued her passion to capture the beauty and charactor of the people and places that came into her life.

In 1980 Sara officially stepped into the world of professional photography, opening her first studio "Photography by Sara", specializing in medium format wedding and portrait photography. She soon took on a partner, her dear friend and now a top Photographer of the Eastern Shore area, Ginny Nangle. Together they started "Creative Images" and became well known Photographers in the area . A long standing member of the Maryland Professional Photographers Association she served as both President and Vice President of the association.

Eventually, her babies grown and on their own, the cold grey winters of the Eastern Shore lost thier charm. In 1991 Sara moved to Naples, Florida to begin again. On her own she began "Images by Sara". Joining the Professional Photographers Association of South West Florida she eventually again became President of her local Photographers Guild. Her charm, warmth and love of people, especially babies, has endeared her to her colleages and clients and has established her as a premier Photographer in the S.W. Florida area.
